SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce announced Monday afternoon that Membership Coordinator Laura Lewis has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Member Relations effective January 1, 2017. The announcement was made by Chamber President Dan Koenig.
Laura’s new position will help manage, create and carry out the Chamber’s main programs, services, events and networking opportunities. Laura will also work closely with many of the Chamber board committees and help coordinate volunteers, meetings and events. “I have a strong desire to help businesses succeed,” said Laura, “and I look forward to the challenge and working hard for our membership.”
Koenig explained Monday afternoon that Laura’s service has shown that the chamber staff can generate a higher level of member engagement than in the past, and he wants to build on her work. “Laura has great skills, builds fantastic relationships, and has a high caliber for delivering excellent customer service,” Koenig said.
Laura was raised in San Angelo and graduated from Angelo State University. She came to the San Angelo Chamber following a 25- year career with Delta Airlines. She also brings extensive experience in event management through previous work in the Park City, Utah area.
