Sherrie Ann Coleman, 72, of San Angelo, TX, passed away on January 3, 2025.
She was born on February 13, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa, Sherrie was the daughter of George and Teddena Connor. She attended Odessa High School and later married the love of her life, Jim Coleman, in San Angelo in 1988.
Sherrie was a barber for over 30 years. She was also an active member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school in the late 1990s.
A passionate and devoted grandmother, Sherrie was always present for her grandsons, Austin Jacob Coad and Jackson Cooper Coad, cheering them on at every school function she could attend. Family was at the heart of everything she did, and her love for her grandsons was immeasurable.
In addition to her family, Sherrie enjoyed various hobbies. She could often be found at the gun range, lifting weights, or even skydiving. She was a strong Autism Activist. She made a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Sherrie is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Coleman; daughter, Christina McCosh and husband Ryan and their children Tyler, Lauryn and Addy McCosh; grandsons, Austin Jacob Coad and Jackson Cooper Coad; and sisters, Leann Kay Faulks and Vanita Schoenberger as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Teddena Connor; her daughter, Shannon Austin Coad; babies, Robby Lee Crosby and Christopher Dean Crosby; and her sister, Fresha Marie Quesend.
A celebration of life will be held on January 11, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Glen Meadows Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Cummings and his staff along with the infusion nurses as well Dr. Meenavalli and the nurses on 4 north and 5 south at Shannon Medical Center.
