Shirley Ann Gieselman, 73, of San Angelo, TX was reunited with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 5, 2024. Shirley was born in Jacksonville, TX to Tex Cobb and Mary Dillon. She graduated as Valedictorian from Forsan High School in 1969, and she married her husband that same year. Her husband, John, was in the Air Force, and they were able to see a little bit of the world. They lived together in TX, OH, NM, Italy, Portugal (the Azores), and West Germany/Germany.
Shirley was a Christian woman who shared Christ’s love to everyone she knew. Her family was her life, and she loved them with everything she had. She always made sure everyone was taken care of which is why her chosen profession was that of a child development specialist. She loved kids, and they were a real source of joy for her.
Her favorite past times were shopping and serving within the community. She was able to combine these with a ministerial outreach called Angel Tree. She bought and wrapped gifts every year for this event, and few things made her as happy as watching those children unwrap the gifts.
Shirley is survived by her husband John, son Phillip of San Angelo TX, daughter Katrina Bozo (Nick) of Spokane WA, granddaughter Paige Lauer (Chris) of Bangs TX, granddaughter Hannah McDonald (John) of San Angelo TX, grandson Brendan Gieselman of San Angelo TX, granddaughter Kaitlyn Bozo, grandson Garrett Bozo, and great granddaughter Isabelle McDonald, brother Darrow Cobb of Merkel TX, brother Ricky Cobb of Merkel TX, and brother Tommy Cobb of Merkel TX. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister Vicky.
The memorial service for Shirley will be at West Side Baptist Church in San Angelo, TX on July 12 at 10am. Pastor Joe Bourgeois will be conducting the service.
Thank you to the Shannon ICU staff, the Hospice of San Angelo nurses and social workers, the Harper Funeral Home staff, and West Side Baptist Church for the care and love given to Shirley and her family during this difficult time.
