John Milton Noack of San Angelo passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born to Ruby Nettles Noack and Erich J. Noack on March 18, 1939, in Port Arthur. One of five children, he and his family moved to Austin, Texas. He attended high school at McCallum graduating class of 1957.
He met his future wife, Margaret Clapp, at a New Year’s Eve party hosted by his mother who invited Margaret due to her friendship with Margaret’s mother. After that night they saw each other every day until they were married in July of 1961. Their marriage lasted 63 years and together they raised two daughters, Tamara and Tracy, primarily in Houston.
John worked many jobs in the construction industry including welding and contracting, eventually working for Rockford Business Interiors until he “retired,” to become a trucker. He and his wife lived in Bastrop, Texas for nearly 20 years where he built their home and landscaped the property. It was a place where he and Margaret could watch their 6 grandchildren and their extended family could gather. For his second retirement he and Margaret moved to Cuenca, Ecuador for three years before returning to Texas. Restless in retirement he enjoyed managing his daughters 10 acres, landscaping his home, and building a shed for his grandson.
