She was born on March 3, 1937, in McLennan County to Doyle and Sara Johnston.
Charlyne attended and graduated Abilene High School.
Charlyne married Robert Armor in 1955. They had three children, Randy, Bob and Becky. They moved to San Angelo in 1956.
After the death of Robert in 1969, Charlyne began her career at Ethicon as a Quality Control Specialist, where she worked tirelessly as a single mother to raise her three children.
Charlyne met Jack Glascock in 1976 and they were married on December 14 of the same year. The two built a beautiful life together where they raised two grandsons and enjoyed traveling, horse racing, camping and she loved to dance. Jack and Charlyne shared 39 wonderful years before he passed in 2015.
Charlyne met Bob Humphrey at The Cowboy Gathering in 2016 and they were married on April 18, 2017. Bob considers himself “one lucky man to have met her.” Bob and Charlyne enjoyed traveling to visit their dear friends, Robert and Mary Pinkerton of Possum Kingdom, and occasionally making trips to the casino.
Charlyne is preceded in death by her husband Robert Armor, her father Doyle Johnston, her mother Sara Johnston, her son, Bob Armor and her husband Jack Glascock.
She has survived by her two children, husband Bob Humphrey, two brothers, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and countless friends that she considered family.
Family visitation will take place Tuesday, April 2 from 5 to 7 PM at Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 11 AM at Lawnhaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals for the Elderly in Charlyne’s name.
