Richard Wayne Lindley of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 72. He was a beloved and adoring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard, who always went by Rick, was born on February 9, 1951, in Abilene, Texas to parents Walter Richard (Dick) Lindley and Norma Vondell Linville (Dale) Lindley. He had two sisters, Donna Marie, who was stillborn, and Verina Inez (Rina).
He married the love of his whole life, Judy Maye Hamilton, on December 23, 1971. They shared a love for the ages for over 52 years.
Together, they honored God and built a loving and nurturing home to raise their children and grandchildren in.
Richard Wayne Lindley is survived by his loving wife, Judy Maye Lindley and their children: Richard Wayne Lindley Jr. and wife, Sara, of Ennis, Texas; Shannon Lindley and her fiancé, Brian Heskett, of Arlington, Texas; Angela Gossett, and her husband, Daniel, of San Angelo, Texas. Rick had 10 grandchildren: Jaron Xavier, Avery Xan, Maddison Morgan, Abbigale Ellen, Katherine Grace, Claire Elizabeth, Emma Claire, Andrew Roman, John Nicholas, and Paul David. He is also survived by his younger sister, Rina, and her husband Steve Allen, and his niece, Julie, and her husband, Mike Zevecke, and their five children.
Rick has now joined his loving parents and eldest sister in Glory.
A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Food Pantry at Freedom Fellowship.
