Ricardo J. Mascorro was born to this earth June 20, 1991, and entered Heaven on December 15, 2023, at 32 years of age after suffering a brain stem stroke at the age of 30. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and his beloved dog “Mac”.
Rick was born to Ricardo Mascorro and Rebecca Dunn.
Rick is survived by his family; mother, Rebeca Dunn, stepfather, Brian Dunn, sister, Megan Dunn and brother, Derek Dunn, grandparents, Julian and Adela Martinez, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins from the Mascorro family.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo D. Mascorro and paternal grandparents.
Rick graduated from Christoval High School in 2009 and entered the U.S. Army in July 2009. He greatly enjoyed his time in the military. Rick was a talented and creative individual, he loved music and art. He wrote and recorded many songs under the name New Bank, which can be heard on iTunes and Spotify and had the privilege of performing at many events.
Rick tried his hand at several different professions, including sales and property management and finally found his calling in the construction industry.
Rick was the life of the party; he lit up a room. He never met a stranger, he loved people. Rick was a very free-spirited person.
In his free time, he loved fishing, barbequing, and spending time with his family and brother and sister. Rick loved traveling. Rick was always using the newest technology to help him create his music and art.
Rick would do anything to help someone in need. He was always growing and working on his relationship with Christ. This gave him peace and comfort in his final days.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 5 -7 PM at Harper Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Harper Funeral Home and burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
