Sylvia Juarez Alvarado, 68 years old, of San Angelo, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2023.
She was born in San Angelo to Manuel and Obdulia Juarez on September 25, 1955. She was the third child/first daughter of five children. Sylvia graduated from Central High School and attended classes at Howard Community College. She had made many friends at her past jobs that included Ethicon, Barry’s, GTE and Verizon. She married Albert O. Alvarado on July 21, 1979. They have two daughter’s, Michelle Alvarado Malone and Misty R. Alvarado Hernandez. Sylvia and Albert worked hard to give their daughters a good childhood and amazing memories. She was a very caring mother to her daughters and always wanted them to have more than she had growing up. She wanted them to grow up and make her proud, but honestly no matter what they chose to do and where they chose to live she was going to be so proud of them and let the world know it.
Sylvia loved fiercely. She would have your back and be your protector yet always let you know how much she cared. She was full of life and love. The family has been told by many how much she loved her family, especially her six grandchildren,
Arthur J Malone III (39), Jasmine Malone (33) Brandon Malone (30), Ava Danielle Malone (17), Mason James Malone (7) and Lillie Renee Hernandez (7). Her grandchildren could do no wrong in her eyes. She loved them all so very much (may have spoiled them just a little bit) and nothing would make her and Albert more happy than spending time with them and watching them grow.
Not only did she enjoy spending time with her family and friends, but she also LOVED the Dallas Cowboys, Texas A&M Aggies, any team her grandkids played on, traveling, tranquil activities such as reading and coloring, watching her soaps and Hallmark channel, various spicy foods, talking on the phone, and telling stories about her favorite memories. She had many favorite pastimes but listening to music and dancing were two things all of us have seen her enjoy.
Sylvia was preceded in death by Manuel Juarez, Obdulia Juarez, her brothers Oscar Juarez, Abel Juarez and Mario Juarez. She is survived by her sister Cynthia and her husband Venancio Gonzalez, her husband Albert Alvarado, Michelle and husband Rev. Arthur J. Malone II, Misty and her husband Benjamin Hernandez, her six grandchildren Arthur, Jasmine, Brandon, Ava, Mason and Lillie and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
The memorial for Sylvia Alvarado will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas at 2:00pm.
