She was born on January 8, 1971, in Brownsville, Texas, to loving parents Daniel D. and Londa (Etheredge) Snider. Wendy was always a happy child, always smiling, and easily made friends. She developed JRA (Juvenal Rheumatoid Arthritis) at the age of four. It is a crippling disease, but Wendy never let it get her down, clear up to the end.

There was a great deal of memorizing to being in Rainbows, but Wendy worked hard at it finally attaining the position of Worthy Advisor, the highest one can attain in Rainbows. Wendy also taught school at Del Rio, Texas before retiring from teaching. After teaching Wendy worked as a front door secretary at a local bank, also in Missouri. But her greatest triumph was in helping to raise her sister’s three children Gabrielle Wendy Collum, Ethan Mathew Collum and Grayson Daniel Collum so that their mother could work nights as a Respiratory Therapist. All three children adored Wendy as a teacher, a mother, and would do anything for her. She will be missed by all her family and especially her little dog Blizzard, who was given to Wendy by Holly and the three children seven years ago.
