Our beloved father Blake Anthony Kohutek passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 5th, 2023, at the age of 71. Dad was born in Winters, Texas on July 15th, 1952. He was raised in Louisiana prior to moving to Big Lake where he graduated in 1970. It was there that dad met the love of his life Susie Love. They married on January 8th, 1971. As a child Dad wanted to be an artist. He loved to paint, draw, and write. As an adult dad accomplished his dream of writing and publishing a book. He spent most of his professional career in the oil and gas industry. Dad was a lover of his Catholic faith, his wife, children, grandkids, and the numerous beloved pets that crossed his path. His battle with serious medical issues the last few years showed his faith in God, his courage, and his willingness to face life’s battles with a smile on his face and a cuss word here and there. He leaves behind his loving wife Susie Kohutek, son Jason Kohutek and wife Kim, daughter Natalie Hunter and son Josh Kohutek. He was a wonderful Poppa of Jaseton Kohutek and Jaxson Hunter. He is also survived by brothers David and Mark Kohutek and sister Becky MacGregor. He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Doris Kohutek, and brothers Steven and Patrick Kohutek.
