Ramiro Gallegos, aka “Tata", 73, was called home Friday January 27, 2023, in San Angelo, Texas. Ramiro was born May 21, 1949, in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico. He worked as a ranch hand throughout his early years. After, Ramiro and his wife moved to Iraan where he worked in the oilfield for many years and raised their family. After retirement Ramiro and his wife moved to Dove Creek where he enjoyed spending his time at The Gallegos Ranch caring for his horses. He loved spending time with his grandchildren fishing, building castles by the creek and riding horses. He also enjoyed taking his wife out dancing, going for walks and enjoying the sunsets with his wife.
He is preceded by his parents Miguel and Elisa Gallegos and sister Josefina Gallegos. Ramiro is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Gallegos. His five sons Luis Gallegos and wife Betty, Carlos Gallegos and wife Sandra, Jesus Gallegos, Miguel Gallegos and wife Valerie, and Jose Gallegos and wife Ruby. Also, survived by two sisters, Esperanza and Maria Gallegos.
Numerous grandchildren: Noel, Luis Jr., Brittany, Cruz, Levi, Kaylob, Alyssa, RJ, Cedric, Ezra, Cordie, Mia, Elissa, Aubreigh, Brynleigh, Keilynn, Madyson, Gabryella, Kinzley, Eliana. Four great grandchildren: Brycen, Luke, Pablo Jr., Sofia, Leighla. Many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Ramiro was a member of the Catholic Church Sacred Heart Cathedral while in San Angelo, TX. Ramiro had a special place in his heart for all his grandchildren but especially his granddaughters as he never had a daughter of his own.
A rosary will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 7:00pm at Harper Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 10:00am, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
