Jackie Lynn Keeling of San Angelo passed away peacefully in his home December 4, 2022, at the age of 69.
Jackie was born on February 5, 1953, in San Angelo, Texas to Armond and Leona Keeling. Jackie worked many years in sales at companies such as Budweiser, AmeriPride Linen & Apparel Services and Decoty Coffee.
Anyone who knew Jackie knew how hard of a worker he was and always had a smile on his face while out on his route. He met many people through his routes as a salesman and manager and cherished those friendships made along the way.
Jackie loved to stay active and had a passion for golfing. He found it therapeutic and relaxing. He also loved going to the beach, collecting seashells and making memories with family. Sandfest was his favorite event at the beach. He could spend all day watching the artists create their masterpieces with just water, sand and some tools.
He was a loyal customer at Fiddlestrings where he would be at every Thursday, Friday and Sunday. He enjoyed amusing conversations and nice cold beers with his friends. Sundays were for Nascar and football.
Jackie was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan and their biggest supporter even when they were not doing so well. He knew they would eventually make a comeback and enjoyed watching them win these past couple of games prior to his passing.
On a positive note, they got a win the night he was called home.
Above all else, Jackie was a family man. He enjoyed family dinners at his favorite restaurant Henry's Diner. In recent days he enjoyed catching up with his sisters and brother-in-law as well as his brother and sister-in-law. He loved his conversations with family and reminiscing about the past.
Jackie married the love of his life Karen Sue Perkins Keeling on his birthday February 5, 1977, in San Angelo, Texas. They enjoyed many years filled with love, traveling, raising children and making memories with their grandchildren. They were married for 36 years till his beautiful wife passed on December 13, 2013. He remained widowed until his passing. In recent days he mentioned he was ready to be reunited with his wife.
He is survived by his children Ricky Dale Keeling of Dallas, Jackie Lynn Keeling II of San Angelo, Heather Keeling of San Angelo and Matthew Bryan Keeling of San Angelo, his grandchildren Alyssa Nicole Keeling and Caitlynn Grace Keeling of San Angelo, Landon Waren and Logan Waren of San Angelo, Addison Izeta and Caleb Gonzales of Mertzon, his bonus children Courtney and Michael Waren of San Angelo, Whitney Clark and James Clark of San Angelo, Zac Donahue of Boerne, sisters Lela Conner and husband Ray Conner of San Angelo, Patsy Odstrcil of San Angelo, brother Ronnie Keeling and wife Lois Keeling of Venice, Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
