Estella Cuellar was born on April 26, 1927 in Uvalde, Texas. Her life was an example of how seemingly contrasting qualities can be harmonious: While she would often quote herself as being someone "not to be messed with," she actually had the kindest heart and most generous spirit. Her enduring spirit helped her overcome many hardships and resulted in a lifelong dedication to work, most importantly as a servant of God. Throughout her lifetime, she dedicated her time to working in a laundromat, volunteering at Fannin Elementary School, preparing meals as a devoted member of Genesis Baptist Church, and taking care of children, both her own and the many others she treated as her own. She left a legacy unmatched by most and lit up any room where her presence was felt. She enjoyed decorating the church, caring for her indoor plants, listening to country music, watching baseball, viewing Pro Wrestling with her grandson, and spending time with her loved ones. Always filled with joy, she is remembered as one who danced through life, even up to her final days.
