Ralph L. Crownover, aged 81, a resident of San Angelo, passed away on Friday at New Haven Care Facility in San Angelo after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Ralph, also known as Ralphie by those who loved him, was born on July 25, 1940 in Coronado, California. His career as a corporate oilfield supervisor took him around the world, and he lived in Texas, Louisiana, British Columbia, Cyprus, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan during that time. Throughout his travels, Ralph’s joyful, kindhearted, giving, and loving manner touched many, and he created innumerable lifelong friendships. He was devoted to his wife, Glenda Crownover, and dedicated the last 32 years of his life to their relationship. Ralph was also a dedicated and active member of the community, serving the San Angelo Elks Lodge for the last 10 years. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin, in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Crownover; sister, Myra Hasty; daughters Karen Box and Deborah Beauregard; stepson, Corey Pate; grandson, Josh; granddaughter, Jessica; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless special friends around the world.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in memory of Ralph Crownover.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, TX. The service will be followed by a lunch at San Angelo Elks Lodge #1880, 2121 S Chadbourne St, San Angelo, TX.
