Surrounded by loved ones, Jennifer Kim Benoist, 45, of San Angelo, took her last breath in the early morning of Wednesday, April 7, 2021, after a lengthy battle with Cancer.
Jennifer was born in San Angelo on April 20, 1975 to Danny and Floy Porter.
In July of 2019, Jennifer was diagnosed with a very aggressive Cancer. From then on, she made it her mission to show Cancer who was boss. She never backed down from the fight and truly lived by the motto, “die trying to live.”
Jennifer was a very hard worker and enjoyed working at Mitchell Buick GMC. When the time came for her to leave her “work-family,” it was with a heavy heart. She enjoyed photography, fishing, and endlessly taunting her family and friends. Even at her lowest of lows, she was always there for those she loved and cared for. She will always be remembered for her feistiness, compassion, and zaniness.
Jennifer’s bucket list was to visit the Red Wood Forest and Hoover Dam. All of which she was able to complete and so much more with the help of her traveling companions, daughter Kendra, son Gage, and family friend Christopher.
Jennifer is survived by her parents Floy and Danny Porter; her three children Shelby Johns, Kendra Saaranen, and Gage Stewart; her two grandchildren Louis and Genevieve Roberts; her two best friends Jackie Baggett and Enid Jackson; and numerous other friends she had met through the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 24th from 3pm to 6pm at Glenmore Park Pavilion.
Jennifer’s passing leaves a void in so many lives. Until we meet again, you will be greatly missed.
