On January 20 of this year, Lois passed into the hands of God and the loving memories of her family and friends. Lois is survived by eleven of twelve Children, Three birth children and nine adopted children. She treasured her children and embraced every moment they would spend with her. Lois's greatest love was her family. All her children were proud to call her mom. The children are Mr. Jeffrey Curry of San Angelo TX, Mr. John Curry of Corpus Christi TX, Lisa Curry of San Angelo TX, Lyndi Uranga of Burleson TX, Joedon Mayville deceased, Jason Mayville of Round Rock TX, James Mayville of San Angelo TX, Kasi Mayville of Houston TX, Justin Mayville of Utah, Kymra Dorre of Copperas Cove TX, Joshua Mayville of Seattle WA and Jared Mayville of Austin TX. She took great pride in being grandmother of 30 with an additional one due in April of this year. She also had three great grand children. She is further survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Mr. Johnny Wilson.
Lois was a U.S. Civil Servant for 32 years. She held various positions during her career beginning with numerous years as a graphic artist at Goodfellow AFB. Additional positions included but not limited too working for the U.S Army Equal Opportunity Office, Augsburg, Germany. She finished her civil service career as the Triage Specialist in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychology at the U.S. Army hospital on Fort Hood, TX. Lois biggest passion was serving on the Texas Council of Adoptable Children, where she helped to facilitate the change in Texas Law on false advertising of adoptive children.
She was lovingly known as “Nonnie” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren following in the tradition started with her mother, Mary Elizabeth Mills who along with her father, Ogden Mills preceded her in death. Her older brothers, Robert Mills and Ogden Mills also preceded her in death.
