Melba Ann Hinkle, 80, of Midland, TX, passed away on May 23, 2020. She was born on October 8, 1939 in Baird, Texas to Scott and Sadie Bryant. Melba attended Baird High School and graduated in the class of 1957. She began her career in Law Enforcement, working for Reagan County Sheriff’s Office as a Jail Administrator. Melba married Dewey Hinkle on August 7, 1957 and had 3 children. Melba was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Cypress and had a passion for her church and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Dewey Hinkle; her parents Scott and Sadie Bryant and brother Ervin Bryant. Melba is survived by her daughters, Connie Gunnels, Ann Cunningham and Tana Nixon; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020 in Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake, Texas.
