Robert “Bob” Clint Bracher of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2019. Bob died peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Bob was born on May 13th, 1948 in Yoakum, TX to Clint W. Bracher and Margaret Hough Bracher. Bob was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1970 and was never seen without his Aggie ring. He would often tell anyone who would listen that “they don’t sell these at the dime store!”
He married his sweetheart Becky in 1970, and two years later they welcomed the pride and joy of his life, his only child Rebecca, into the world. He never missed an opportunity to brag about his “Becca Boo.” Rebecca married Tim Ball in 1993 and they have four wonderful children together. Bob was affectionately known as “Grumps” by his grandchildren Reagan, Caleb, Reese, and Kate Ball.
Bob was involved in agriculture all his life. He was a journalist for the Cattleman’s magazine, farmed and ranched in Uvalde, sold ranch equipment all over the world and ended his career as owner and operator of Aermotor Windmill Company.
Bob enjoyed playing golf, especially when it involved a gentlemen’s wager. He loved to spend time at the Dos y Dos ranch in Ft. McKavett spraying mesquite, working cattle, and on occasion dealing with a troublesome llama.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Becky, his son-in-law and daughter Tim and Rebecca Ball, grandchildren Reagan, Caleb, Reese, and Kate Ball, siblings and their spouses Ann and John Price, Betty and Joe Burks, Barbara Downing, Paul and Laurie Bracher and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clint W. Bracher and Margaret Hough Bracher.
A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at Harper Funeral Home.
