Harry James Hall, 82, of San Angelo, Texas passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born in Malden, Massachusetts on July 27, 1934. Harry graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and also received a master's degree from Wayne State University.
He married the love of his life Dorothy Anne Klein on April 7, 1956. Harry served in the United States Air Force for 20 years followed by a second career with the Texas Department of Mental Health & Mental Retardation. He was a member of Lion's Club International and volunteered for Meals for the Elderly, Project Dignidad (20 years as Treasurer), Emmanuel Representative, Great American Smoke Out, was a board member for the American Cancer Society, Sundown Lion's Club, Adult Day Care, was the president for the AARP Tax Aide Program, and the San Angelo Visitor's Center. Harry served the church as a Sunday School Teacher, Lay Reader and Chalice Bearer, Visitor to Homebound, Bishop's Committee and Companion Diocese Program and had a passion for gardening, travel and sports.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years Dorothy Hall; son James Scott Hall; daughter, Janet Lee McClure; and grandchildren, Mark Alan Hall, Kyle Thomas McClure and Amanda Eileen Morgan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
