Jonathan Terrell Smith, 35 passed away, peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his home in San Angelo. He was born on Sunday, December 6, 1981 in San Angelo. He married the love of his life, Delores Ochoa 17 years ago. They shared a life of love and laughter together that will never be forgotten. Jon was a member of the Rollerz Only Lowrider Club. He broke the sound record that he holds to this day in South Padre. He was known for his big heart, always taking care of others, even if he did not know them. He had a strong will and independent streak. He was an animal lover, especially of dogs. He enjoyed music of all kinds and wrestling. Jonathan's love of life, spontaneous nature and happy spirit will be missed greatly. He left a mark on those who knew him that will never fade. He was bigger than life.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry Lee McBurnett and Catherine Ann Smith; wife, Delores Smith; son, Joe Smith; brothers, Bryan McBurnett and Jason McBurnett; aunts and uncles, Evelyn Schwertner, Bobby and Taleta Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends including his father-in-law, Juan Ochoa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Asenette Ochoa, Anthony and Virginia Ochoa.
There will be a time of visitation held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Fairmount Cemetery
