Evan Michael McGraw, 24, completed his life journey on Saturday, June 18, 2016. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Evan was born on November 8, 1991 to Richard and Lee Morrison-McGraw in San Angelo, Texas. Evan grew up in San Angelo attending Crockett Elementary school, then Glenn Junior High and Central High School before graduating from Fredericksburg High School. He loved to play tennis, playing all the way through high school, and was then recruited to play for Schreiner University in Kerrville. Evan was the number one player in singles and doubles play when he attended Fredericksburg High School. He not only enjoyed playing tennis, but also found teaching the sport that he loved so much to younger kids incredibly rewarding. Evan was also a member of The United States Tennis Association and National Junior Honor Society. He loved all animals and found peace in his interactions with them, but he had a soft spot for dogs. He loved being outdoors, and he particularly loved Northern Wisconsin where his grandmother lives. Evan had a sense of humor that even in the most difficult situations could be light to a dark place. Let us remember that now.
Evan is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Richard and Mary Louise McGraw, Maternal Grandfather Gordon Morrison, and his beloved dog Spot.
He is survived by his parents Richard and Lee Morrison-McGraw, three loving sisters Caryn McGraw, Lauren McGraw and Carissa Gardner, loving brother Ryan McGraw, beloved Grandmother Joan Morrison, Aunt and Uncle Erin and Scott Morrison, Aunt Lily Williams and Uncle Robert McGraw, along with many special cousins, honorary aunts and uncles, and his beloved nieces and nephews.
To all who really knew him, Evan was a special, kind and gentle soul; a shining wit and intellect; a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and cousin. Those fortunate enough to call him a friend know he was truly theirs. His loyalty ran deep.
