Floyd "Buddy" Kahlig, 90 of San Angelo, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Family visitation is today from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Steven Hicks of Sacred Heart Cathedral officiating.
Buddy was born on August 14, 1925 in Westphalia, Texas to Pius and Eleanora Kahlig. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Buddy was a lifetime farmer. He will be remembered as an easygoing, practical, and simple man who never wanted to impose on anyone. He will be missed.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Olga Hamann and a brother L.J. Kahlig. Survivors include nieces and nephews: Bonnie Hunt (Don), James Kahlig (Norma), and Janet Harwell; and grandnieces and grandnephews: Jerry Hunt, Theresa Pack (Kirk), Carol Hale (David), James Harwell (Shana), Joy Foss, Chassidy Hamilton (Jason), Jacoby Hunt, James and Steven Delamater, and Brianna Harwell, James Harwell, Jr., and Dallas Foss.
The family would like to thank his caretakers Rick and Debbie Garcia for their loving and special care.
