Kelly Gayhart, 90, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, May 17th at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 27th at the Rio Concho Manor Recreation Room.
Kelly was born on July 27, 1924 in Garrett, KY to Kelly, Sr. and Bertha (Centers) Gayhart Ward. Kelly served his country in the US Army during WWII; he was dropped behind the enemy lines as a machine gunner in the European Theater. Kelly was a member of New Life Ministries of Rio Concho Manor, where he was also a church board member. He was also an avid golfer having golfed 18 holes just one week before his illness in February. Kelly loved his wife and family. He will be missed by his loving family and friends as they celebrate his going home.
Preceded in death by brothers Romie Gayhart, Wilkie Gayhart and Daniel Ward, sisters Ruby Ryans and Wathita King.
Kelly is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Gayhart of San Angelo; son, Timothy Gayhart of Las Vegas, NV, son, Kelly Gayhart of Apopka, FL; daughter, Keilia Moreland of Nashville, TN daughter, Jacqueline Hoine of Port Angeles, WA; daughter, Theresa Thorton of Katy, TX; daughter, Jocelynn Hemphill of Mason; son Darin Zumwalt of Canyon Lake, TX; daughter, Beth Kerr of Lubbock; brother Garner Gayheart of Raceland, KY; sister Georgia Allen of Flatwoods, KY; sister, Debra Durham of Lexington, KY; grandchildren; Angela Moreland, Jamey Yatsinko, Jody Peters, Jill Lacy, Kyra Gayhart, Tanner Gayhart, Ami Norris, Chris Norris, Brandon Peterson, Courtland Hemphill, Paden Hemphill, Leret Hemphill, Ashlea Chappell, Katelyn Kerr and 10 ½ great-grandchildren.
