Gary was born January 28, 1967, to Gary Bailey and Mary (Bailey) Rutledge in San Angelo, Texas. Gary was preceded in death by his father, stepfather and grandparents.
He is survived by his son, Bo Bailey, his daughter, Heather Bailey, the mother of his children, Michele Bailey, his mother, Mary Rutledge, his stepmother, Barbara Bailey, his stepsister, Kim Franks, his nephews, Wade Wilcox and Ryan Wilcox, his uncles, John Rutledge (Ginny), Tim Rutledge (Bonnie), Jeff Rutledge, and Mike Rutledge (Donna); family friends, David Russell (Debbie) and longtime girlfriend, Leo Bennich.
Although he was born in San Angelo, he grew up in Dallas. He attended Richardson High School and Blinn Junior College in Bryan.
Gary was loved by all who knew him. His generosity was well-known to his friends, as well as to those less fortunate. Never one to sit in any one place for long, he loved being a coast-to-coast truck driver. He was a perfectionist about his work in the moving business, as well as about his beautiful 18-wheeler. He lived life to the fullest. He loved to laugh and have fun, and often went on cruises with his friends.
His passing was completely unexpected, and has left a void in the hearts of all who loved him that will never be filled. We commit you into the arms of the Lord, our beloved Gary, with our love, respect and honor for the man that you were.
