Howard Lloyd (Jake) Jacobe went to be with his Lord and Savior after a brief illness on April 16, 2014, at the age of 86.
Jake was born in Breckinridge Texas on April 10th, 1928, to William Lloyd and Mary Gray Jacobe. He was drafted in the army and spent two years serving his country in Ft. Lewis, Washington. During his time in the Army he met his wife Ruby Helen Stallings. In 1952, Howard and Ruby were married and went back to Washington to complete his military service. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work for Mobil Oil for the remainder of his 37 year career. San Angelo became his home after retirement. It was during this time that he realized his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot. He enjoyed spending his free time flying and traveling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorthy Aliff. Jake is survived by his wife Ruby, daughters; Renee and Cloyd Burson and Patti and Brian Rader. As well as, his six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
