Betty Siegenthaler entered her heavenly home on Saturday, December 21, 2013. She is now walking hand in hand with her husband, Mack.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 23, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Big Lake at 2:00p.m. J.B. Bitner and Gerald Bastin officiated. She was laid to rest in Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake.
Betty was born on December 14, 1933 in Geneva, Alabama. She married Mack Siegenthaler on August 16, 1963 in Big Lake where they made a happy, loving home for their five children.
Betty was a proud homemaker and took great pleasure in nurturing her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack; her parents, Buck and Pete Scott; a son, Lynn Siegenthaler and a daughter, Denise Golson.
She leaves behind two brothers, Paul Ezell and wife Shizuko, Jimmy Scott and wife Diane; two daughters, Regina Kane and husband Lee, Mahonna Gunnels and husband Robert; a son Tate Siegenthaler and wife Mitzi; a daughter-in-law, Kim Siegenthaler; a sister-in-law, Sheila Jones and husband Jimmy. She was "Granny" to her 10 grandchildren, Cody and Chase Kane, Lyndsay and Tucker Siegenthaler, Mandy Shelton and Aaron Gunnels, Marley Cosgrove, Amy, Tye and Wil Siegenthaler. She treasured her 9 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members.
