The Small Business Development Center (ASU-SBDS) announced that local CEO and Operations Manager of Snider Technology, Jason Snider, is the recipient of the San Antonio District U.S. Small Business Administration’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2016.
The U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes small businesses on a national and local level. Each year, a business is awarded to signify the contribution and outstanding efforts of small business owners.
The Young Entrepreneur award is presented to an individual, under 30, who exemplifies the true spirit of an entrepreneur, and nominees are evaluated based on the success of the business.
The evaluation measures in sales, the increase in employment opportunity produced by the business, development and implementation of creative and innovative business methods, and the demonstration of potential long-term success of the business.
Jason Snider launched Snider Technology Services LLC, in San Angelo, Texas in 2006, during his sophomore year at Angelo State University. His mission is to help small and medium-sized businesses leverage technology to achieve a competitive edge.
Director of the ASU-SBDC, Dave Erickson, will be joining the esteem recipient at the award ceremony that will be held in San Antonio, Texas on May 6. The award presentation event coincides with the National Small Business week, which recognizes the important role of America’s small businesses.
