Carino's Italian Grill Closed Permanently in San Angelo

 

Carino’s Italian Grill, 1407 Knickerbocker Rd., in San Angelo announced to its patrons that it has closed its doors permanently.

The lights for the signs are still on, but the doors are locked and the dining room is dark inside. On the front door is a sign that reads, “Effective February 18th, this location is permanently closed.”

No other reason was given.

Friday night, a steady stream of would-be patrons could be seen driving through the empty parking lot. Some stopped while a passenger exited the vehicle to read the sign, that Carino’s is no more in San Angelo.

Absolutely no loss at all to San Angelo. I ate there twice in about 1998. The second time was just to see if the first time was an off day for the cooks and wait staff but it wasn't. Never glanced over at it again since. Maybe something good will go in in its place now......

Folks losing their jobs
and the city some tax revenue
...not good.
Otherwise.....meh.
