According to Brian Bylsma, traffic investigator for the San Angelo Police Department, the Explorer was facing west, turning left to head south on Chadbourne. She was at a stop sign.

As she began her turn, Bylsma said that she told him that she did not see the northbound Camaro. The Camaro crashed into the Explorer.

All three occupants of the Explorer were transported via ambulance to the hospital. Bylsma said that the two passengers were juveniles, and one was unrestrained, wearing no seatbelt.

The driver of the Explorer was cited for driving with a suspended license, having no proof of insurance, and failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign.

The Camaro driver was uninjured.

The crash happened just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of N. Chadbourne St. and 25th St.

"A suspended license, no insurance and with a child not restrained by a seat belt as a passenger."

What wretched irresponsible behavior. Yet this scofflaw will probably be on the road again, shortly after causing this collision.

This city has the worst of the worst drivers I have ever seen. I see people run stop lights, stop signs, the gauntlet of traffic violations, yet may see someone pulled over maybe 1 or twice ever other week. I've seen patrol cars not pull someone over for breaking traffic laws. The police lost one of their own to people like this, maybe you guys should start handing out more citations and heftier fines..(not that that would do anything you understand)
