Washington – Congressman Mike Conaway (TX-11) issued the following statement after a video surfaced documenting Planned Parenthood’s atrocious practices:
“I am utterly stunned and sick to my stomach by this complete and absolute disregard for human life. Without a hint of shame, one of Planned Parenthood’s doctors vividly described how to dismember a baby in order to ‘harvest’ its body parts for sale. It is horrifying to know that this type of conniving and despicable behavior is not only acceptable at Planned Parenthood, but embraced and encouraged. It has become very clear that the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and their regional chapters nationwide are aware of this behavior despite their half-hearted denials.
“These heinous crimes – and what was described in the video is a crime, no matter what Planned Parenthood’s interpretation is – must not be ignored. The House Judiciary Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee have already launched investigations into these atrocities, and I will do everything in my power to make sure the perpetrators of these unconscionable acts are held accountable. Innocent lives are on the line.”
The edited version of the video accusing Planned Parenthood of harvesting fetus tissue, baby parts:
Here is the two-hour-long unedited version.

The amount of effort put into this elaborate kabuki is stunning—and confusing. Why not publish these videos under the Live Action name and let the Center for Medical Progress exist as nothing more than the phony organization created to trick Planned Parenthood? The full, unedited footage and transcript released by the group undermines their sensationalist claims, showing at least three crucial edits that reveal the Planned Parenthood official was instead discussing the reimbursement cost for consensual, legal tissue donations. GOP politicians remain in a race to prove who can be the worst on women's health, and this story is no exception.

PermalinkI want to thank Joe Hyde for including the link to the unedited video and Yosemite Sam for pointing out that this is yet another example of a GOP manufactured witch hunt that uses a heavily edited video to give a false impression of the actual events. Planned Parenthood was doing nothing wrong. ACORN was done in by a GOP fake video and they hope that they can do it again. I thought the GOP was supposed to represent Christians and that one of the main commandments said "don't lie".

PermalinkHere is a link that explains where the deception occurred in the latest GOP manufactured witch hunt. Joe Hyde has provided a link to the full more than two hour video in the article above the comments.

Permalink"Though the new investigation claims Planned Parenthood is profiting off the sale of fetal remains, Nucatola repeatedly emphasizes “tissue donation” and pushes back on the idea that her organization is not selling anything. In the longer version of the raw video footage — which includes more than 150 additional minutes that didn’t make it into the final nine-minute version — there’s one instance when she says quite directly, “Nobody should be ‘selling’ tissue. That’s just not the goal here.”

PermalinkTo me, the larger question in all of this is, "Why do we live in a society where the practice of abortion is more and more common? What does it say about the value we place on human life and even how we live from day to day? What does it say about who we have become and where are we going?"
In all honesty, with political correctness aside, sometimes I wonder if the descendants of the Anglosphere's founders are determined on marching themselves the way of the Romans. But by all means, feel free to call me crazy. I'm right at home, in that respect, out here in West Texas...
Oh, Anglo-America. Ever stubborn and gullible - but principled - you will be admired. Once you're gone. Rest in Peace.

PermalinkI did not intend to get into a discussion on abortion but the practice of abortion is not "more and more common". In fact, abortions are declining in nearly all states. Nationwide, an AP survey showed a decrease in abortions of about 12 percent since 2010.

PermalinkDuly noted. Though, even if abortions are declining for the time being, why should we accept the practice in the first place? At the center of the abortion issue is, for me, the value we place on human life. Promoting an invasive medical procedure to scrape an unborn child from a woman's body in the name of "women's health" and "reproductive rights" seems, to me, more a sign of moral decline than of societal "progress" in any healthy direction. What is more important than human life? For me, that question is so blatantly interwoven into this issue that it confounds me how so many manage to get past it.

PermalinkLike I posted, "I did not intend to get into a discussion on abortion". Just wanted to note that abortions have been declining since 2010. The article wasn't particularly dealing with that topic but was about Rep. Conaway's predictable reaction to a misleading and doctored video produced by Live Action.
