A female cyclist has been loaded into an ambulance on Beauregard, after crashing into a Tahoe driving down the road.
Investigating officer Palmer relayed that multiple witnesses stated the woman was traveling eastbound in the turning lane, when she crashed into the side of the maroon Chevy Tahoe and fell into the street. An alleged male accompaniement, who apparently made it safely across the road on his own bicycle, has not been located, however multiple eyewitnesses report having seen the man.
The woman has been loaded on a gurney and transported to Shannon Medical Center. The seriousness of her injuries is not yet known.
The San Angelo Police, Ladder 1, Engine 5 and Medic 10 responded to the scene.
Currently, the Van Buren to Beauregard/Sherwood Way split is blocked to through traffic.

I'm confused on this article... here it states the companion was on a motorcycle but the female was a cyclist (bicycle). On another news site it clearly identifies both as bicycle riders.

PermalinkWell....I read the article again and it doesn't say anything about a "motorcycle". Maybe you were looking at the police motorcycle and just thought it was involved. Both the male and female were on "bicycles" I hope you are not confused anymore. :-)

PermalinkSome people may not realize that you can find cached info on the Internet on the original article thanks to replication. Also when you view source code on a page, you can sometimes see code that provides additional details. "Motorcycle" was used and I found cached info on the original on the web. Also when viewing the source on this page, you can see it was modified from the original date it was published. Yes the word "motorcycle" was used cause I had just read the Standard Times version of the same report and that's where it said both were on bicycles. No confusion here.
