Second North San Angelo Shooting Suspect Arrested

A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred in the 500 block of W. 16th Street Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Narcotics Section and Special Operations Section (SOS) developed information about the identity of a second suspect involved in the shooting.  The suspect was reportedly staying at the Stadium Oaks Apartment complex, 2123 Industrial Avenue.

Yesterday, March 26, detectives conducted surveillance on the apartment and located the suspect’s vehicle on the property.  During a search of the residence, detectives located Gregory Gill, 30, of San Angelo, hiding in the attic.  Gill was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Jarrett Jackson, 23, was arrested on March 24, for his involvement in the shooting.  He was charged with Obstruction/Retaliation.

Jackson and Gill reportedly went to the residence on W. 16th looking for an acquaintance with whom Jackson was said to have a history of conflict.  After engaging in a verbal argument with the residents, Gill allegedly pulled out a gun and fired several rounds.  No one was injured.

This is an ongoing investigation.
