Traffic on Sherwood Way was brought to a crawl Thursday afternoon just after 1 p.m. when two cars piled up in a classic rear-end crash at the Oxford Street traffic light.
According to the San Angelo police, a Ford Escape ran into the rear of a gun metal-colored Kia Sorento. There were two injuries, police said. The passenger of white Ford Escape was rushed to San Angelo Community Medical Center via ambulance. The driver of Ford Escape was treated at the scene.
A “failure to control speed” citation was issued to the driver of the Ford Escape who allegedly caused the crash.
