AMARILLO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop Wednesday on IH-40, yielding over five pounds of cocaine valued at over $316,000 along with four pounds of heroin valued at over $514,000. Also seized was 21 grams of methamphetamine with a value over $4,000.
At approximately 3:25 p.m., a DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Buick Regal traveling eastbound on IH-40, for a traffic violation, near Amarillo in Potter County.
The driver of the Regal was identified as Michael L Curtis, 50, of Phoenix. During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered the illegal drugs in the vehicle.
Curtis was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Potter County Jail. The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Phoenix, to Brooklyn, N.Y.

I'll bet you couldn't pull Michael L Curtis out of jail with a tow truck now knowing he's #1 on somebody's hit list for losing that kind of money.....
