Cancellations and Closings Continue in Winter Weather

Cancellations and delays have been extended through the evening of Dec. 31 and, for some places, through the weekend due to inclement weather. Below is an updated and running list of everything that has been cancelled this evening.

Bars and Pubs

Blaine's Pub: closed New Year's Eve; open at noon on New Year's Day.

Fat Boss's: closed due to weather.

Fiddlestrings: closed due to weather.

Grinner's Daiquiri Bar: closed on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day due to inclement weather.

The Deahorse: closed due to weather, but is hosting a "re-do" on Friday!

The Office Bar: closed New Year's Eve and Day due to weather. 

Penny Pub and Grill: closed due to weather.

Shenanigans: closed due to weather on New Year's Eve, but promises an early opening on New Year's Day

Spam's: closed due to weather.

Wise Guy's: closed due to weather.

Other Closings

Mathis Field Airport: remains closed through 8 a.m. Thursday. Further delays may be added depending on weather. With icy runways closed the rest of the day at San Angelo Regional Airport, American Airlines is sending its employees home. If travelers have questions about re-booking flights, they can call 1-800-433-7300 or go to aa.com.

Meals For The Elderly: closed until Jan. 5. No routes will be delivered until then.

Nature Center Slumber Party: the New Year's slumber party has been cancelled. Refunds available at the Nature Center, 7409 Knickerbocker Road. Checks will be mailed within 10-14 days.

Nature's Touch Health Store: closed until Friday. 

Republic Services: trash pick-up is expected to be delayed on Thursday.

Stadium Lanes: closed due to weather. 

Tinseltown: closed due to weather.

Tom Green County Libraries: will remain closed until Saturday due to weather and holidays.

West Texas Rehabilitation Center: WTRC has closed for the day and will reopen on Friday at 8 a.m.

Wing Stop: closed due to weather. 

Church Services

Bethel Assembly of God: New Year's service cancelled.

The Diocese of San Angelo Pastoral Center: closed Wednesday and Thursday. Will reopen weather permitting on Friday.

Freedom Fellowship Church: New Year's Eve service cancelled.

Grape Creek Family Fellowship: Wednesday night services cancelled.

Sacred Heart Cathedral: The 12:10 p.m. daily mass has been cancelled.

Trinity Lutheran Church: New Year's Eve service is cancelled.
