Three 4-Door Sedans Involved in Crash on S. Abe at W. Harris

All southbound lanes except one on Abe Street are closed due to a three-car crash near the intersection with West Harris Street. Several San Angelo Fire Department units responded, including Ladder 1. Two San Angelo Police Department motorcycle traffic patrolmen are investigating.

A brown Buick La Sabre, a champagne-brown Honda Accord, and a gray Chevrolet four-door sedan were involved. One person was loaded into an ambulance.

Police are directing traffic and detouring most of it around on side streets.

Home Motors has already arrived. The crash happened at 3:45 p.m. Monday.

We will have more updates as the crash scene unfolds.

Update 6:30 p.m.

Both the Honda Accord and the Buick La Sabre were westbound on Harris with a green light, traveling across Abe St. The 19-year-old female driving the Chevrolet Malibu was southbound on Abe. According to police, the entire crash was recorded on Scheider Distributing's video system. The video shows that the southbound Malibu on Abe ran the stop light, locked it up, and collided with the two westbound cars on Harris.

Just in case anyone wanted to know, that camera system came from Ener-Tel. You can get yours @ 325-658-8375 Shameless plug over now. I personally am glad that they were able to get it figured out as that intersection gets more dangerous every day.
