A major motor vehicle accident involving a white Ford F-150 and a motorcycle at the intersection of Knickerbocker and Commerce Streets has one southbound lane and two northbound lanes completely shut down.
The rider of the motorcycle, a male, is lying in the street being treated by medics, who have a gurney nearby.
The severity of the injuries has not yet been relayed.
Update 8:14 p.m.
The motorcyclist has been loaded into an ambulance on a gurney. He's lucid and was able to communicate with first responders.
The driver of the F-150, an elderly gentleman, suffered no injuries in the crash. The motorcyclist appears to have crashed into the passenger side of the truck.
The driver of the truck said the crash occurred when he was turning left onto Commerce on his way to Little Ceasar's. He says he doesn't think he wants any pizza any more.
Update 9:08 p.m.
Sergeant Cade Solsbery said that the motorcyclist was transported to Community Medical Center with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
He confirmed the crash occurred when the driver of the F-150 turned left onto Commerce from Knickerbocker, however who had the green light is still under investigation.
The motorcyclist, who was northbound on Knickerbocker, managed to lay down his bike before colliding with the truck.
No citations have been issued, however one of the drivers may be cited as the investigation develops.
