New Video Shows Damage of Wednesday Morning Structure Fire

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police and firefighters responded early Wednesday to an active incident near East 19th Street and Volney Street, prompting officials to urge residents to avoid the area.

A Nixle alert issued at 7:41 a.m. advised the public to stay clear due to ongoing fire and police activity. 

Residents in nearby neighborhoods, including the East 23rd Street and Pecan Street area, reported heavy smoke and emergency activity before sunrise. Video shared with San Angelo LIVE! shows smoke and flames rising behind businesses along North Chadbourne Street. The videos were sent in around 4 a.m. 

Fire crews and police remain on scene as of this morning. Additional details were not immediately available, and the cause of the incident has not been released.
