SAN ANGELO, TX — There have been more than 2,000 crashes reported in San Angelo this year, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
San Angelo crossed over the 2,000-crash mark before it made it through September.
As of Monday, Oct. 13, there have been 2,112 crashes — an average of 7.7 crashes per day — which involved 5,118 people.
Outside the city limits in Tom Green County, there were 213 additional crashes.
The five most dangerous intersections for crashes in San Angelo this year are:
- Sherwood Way and Loop 306
 - Harris Avenue/Beauregard Avenue and Bryant Boulevard
 - Houston Harte and Bryant Boulevard
 - Knickerbocker Road and Loop 306
 - Avenue L and Bryant Boulevard
