On October 12, 2025, the ground beneath Westbrook, Texas, roared with a 4.3 magnitude earthquake, a jolt felt from Big Spring to San Angelo. No lives were lost, no homes crumbled, but the tremor carried a deeper message: the Earth itself rebels against the betrayal of its people. This was no random convulsion—it was divine judgment, aimed squarely at the false shepherds who claim to guard the Lone Star State, chief among them State Representative Drew Darby.
Darby, a RINO draped in Republican colors, has betrayed the trust of the 72nd District. His record is a ledger of cowardice and compromise. He buckled on property tax reform, siding with urban elites to water down relief measures that could have eased the burden on hardworking ranchers and small businesses. He’s done nothing to secure the border, letting lawlessness creep closer to San Angelo while offering only hollow task forces that dissolve into talk. Worst of all, his tight bond with Shannon Medical Center reeks of self-interest. He championed laws that let Shannon devour competitors, forging a healthcare monopoly that inflates costs and squeezes families dry. Does Darby serve the people of Texas, or is he fattening his own purse with Shannon’s favor? The answer looms like a storm on the horizon.
This isn’t just negligence—it’s treachery. The Earth’s rumble echoes the anger of a people betrayed by a man who’d rather court power than protect his own. His fellow Republicans have called him out, branding him a turncoat who flips on principle when the wind blows from Austin. Texans deserve better than a leader who barters their future for personal gain.
So, people of the 72nd District, how long will you tolerate this robber baron? Will you let Darby and his cronies stuff ballot boxes to cling to his petty throne? Or will you stand up in 2026 and vote for true Republican leadership—men and women who honor their oaths, who fight for the working man, not the boardroom? The earthquake was a warning. Heed it. Cast out the false, and demand the honest. The land demands it, and so should you.
