SAN ANGELO, TX — A man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times late Friday in San Angelo, the police said.
San Angelo Police officers responded to the 1000 block of North Jackson Street on Aug. 8 for a report of a shooting victim at about 11 p.m. Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds and later determined the shooting occurred in the 1000 block of North Monroe Street.
Preliminary investigation indicates the incident began as an argument between acquaintances at a local bar. Police said the injured man allegedly attempted to assault another man with both a knife and a firearm. The second man then shot him, causing the injuries.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Police believe the incident was isolated.

Depends on the proximity of your attacker. If they're close enough, having a knife makes them vulnerable while drawing the gun, and increases the likelihood that it becomes your gun. Alternatively, pepper spray, stun guns, and even rubber knucks are useful for self defense. If all else fails, jump into a rabbit hole, reappear and strut a few feet wearing drag, and then hit the attacker with a frying pan when they attempt to make an overture.
It also helps to always eat carrots for good eyesight.

PermalinkI believe 21 feet is how close an attacker with a knife has to be before you can draw and shoot. If you have really good eyesight you can throw the frying pan.
