Pedal to the Cell: Angelo State Theft Suspect Finally Booked

SAN ANGELO, TX — A man previously sought in connection with a string of bicycle and e-scooter thefts on the Angelo State University campus has been apprehended.

Joshua Ryan Barnett, 35, was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 1:20 a.m. on May 15, according to jail records. He faces a charge of theft of property valued between $100 and $750. His bond was set at $10,500.

ASU Police had issued a wanted bulletin for Barnett earlier this week, stating he had six active arrest warrants related to campus thefts.

As of Thursday morning, Barnett remains in custody.
