Rep. Pfluger Accuses Vice President Harris of 'Flip-Flopping' on Border Wall Policy

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX11) criticized Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday for her recent change in stance regarding the southern border wall.

Pfluger accused Harris of “flip-flopping” on the issue after she announced her commitment to continue building the wall if elected President.

“For years, Vice President Kamala Harris has opposed building a southern border wall, claiming it was ‘un-American.’ The Biden-Harris Administration has allowed over 10 million illegal immigrants to enter our country — including known and suspected terrorists,” Pfluger said in a statement.

He also referenced his invitation to Harris to visit a migrant holding facility in Midland, Texas, amid allegations of abuse, sexual assault, and insufficient staffing, which he claims have gone unanswered.

Pfluger stated that Harris’s shift in policy was merely a tactic to gain votes during the election year, accusing the Vice President of contributing to a prolonged border crisis through her previous opposition to the wall.

"The Vice President has spent over three years enabling a border crisis, and the American people know the truth," Pfluger stated. "This flip-flopping is simply a ploy to buy votes during an election year."
