SAN ANGELO, TX — Thirty individuals from nine countries, including El Salvador, Mexico, Morocco, and the United Kingdom, are being sworn in as U.S. citizens during two naturalization ceremonies Wednesday at the O.C. Fisher Federal Building.
The first one began at 10:30 a.m., while the second one is scheduled for 1 p.m. Fifteen candidates will be recognized as U.S. citizens at each ceremony.
The ceremonies are presided over by the Honorable Magistrate Judge John R. Parker, featuring remarks emphasizing the significance of citizenship and the contributions of immigrants to the United States.
“Today is an opportunity for us to come together, to celebrate, and we convene this court today for the sole purpose of celebrating you, the candidates, and your inspirational journey to citizenship,” Parker said at the ceremony. “But it also gives the rest of us, those who are already citizens, an opportunity to say thank you to the candidates.”
Parker praised the new citizens for their perseverance and dedication, highlighting the challenges they overcame to achieve citizenship.
“It’s difficult for many of us, including myself, to imagine the challenges involved in coming to the country. … I know it’s very hard work to become a citizen of this country. They don’t just give it away. You have to earn it,” he said.
The judge also spoke on the importance of immigrants to the nation’s economy and culture, noting that almost half of Fortune 500 companies were founded by immigrants and that nearly one-third of the country’s doctors are immigrants.
“We represent different heritages and cultures all over the world, but each of us brings rich treasures in terms of our cultures and our perspectives,” Parker said. “The diversity of this country has always been one of our greatest strengths.”
The ceremony concluded with Parker encouraging the new citizens to actively engage in democracy.
“You now stand in the shoes of all those immigrants who came before you,” he said. “The highest honor you can pay them is to actively engage in this democracy as if the faith of this country depended on it.”

Congratulations to the new citizens. These folks have gone through the process and earned their place in the United States. It is so unfair to people like these that try to do the right thing, for this administration to openly allow so many illegal aliens from all over to sneak in. Even after they sneak in they are given housing and several other benefits in the hope that the dems can find a way for them to vote for biden or now kamala. I'm fearful of where our country is headed.

PermalinkStephanie Grisham was there. She witnessed Trump's crap. Ain't no "opinion" in her words, but fact.
I hope your basement is comfortable.

PermalinkIf you were smart you'd realize most west texas homes dont have basements. We have attics and I don't live in it because it would be as hot as the bullshit you spew from your toxic piehole. But we know you aren't. If you were even remotely interested or even cared you'd know I am quite comfortable and didn't sell my soul to the DNC for food stamps and a cell phone.

PermalinkForeseeing the likelihood of another Democrat election steal, some of us have abandoned our high end basements for more practical silos and bunkers that can withstand a nuclear blast.

PermalinkIf YOU were smart you would realize that Trump meant that term to metaphorically describe those who live in a mental state that is dark, dusty, and dismal.
Without these people he could not survive, so he cherishes them as long as they support him. Should they stop doing that, he would cast them aside as he has done so many others. As he has stated, he only cares about loyalty to him. Nothing else matters.

PermalinkIt was Hillary Clinton who first mocked disenfranchised Americans as "basement dwellers." It was the same person and her party that began the shidding demshelves when Trump reached out to the disenfranchised.
And don't tell us about how "Trump only cares if you support him." Question any part of DEI and Wokeism and Democrats will do what leftists have always done to people — but claim they are enacting "justice," based on their warped interpretation of history.
Question anti-White rhetoric as a minority and see how Democrats turn into their own characature of Nazis. Question whether most women even want to work 60 hrs a week as single moms and prepare to be psychologically (or physically, if they can manage it—and sometimes they do!) castrated. The same for questioning whether young children should be sterilized in the name of "gender identity."
Question them and they are quick to turn on you with the lesson that the only effective deterrent to radical leftism is ruthless, unhesitating violence.

PermalinkYou can't talk sense to this person Rita, he's beyond help much like the Democratic party. He'll gaslight all of us over his disdain for Trump and his supporters, meanwhile his party wants an open border, noncitizens voting in the elections, free healthcare for all those illegals, baby murders and dont forget penis removal. Yep all of that and a bag of peanuts is what the democratic party represents. We could go as far to say that they're actual demons but ole expat will self reflect and call us names in hopes that people believe him. It's all he knows and quite honestly it's depressing to witness.

PermalinkSo we're quibbling over what Hillary called the disenfranchised that she and her party feared would have representation through Trump? I'm sure Hillary has many names for us unwashed masses, despite siding with the party that claims to represent those she once called "super predators."
If you have trouble understanding what I write, perhaps you are too troubled by the implications of what is written to process that information rationally. Regardless, the days of the peaceful resolution of differences is drawing to a close, like it or not.
Opinions are superfluous.
