Emergency Training Drill Set for Goodfellow AFB Tomorrow

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Fire Department and Goodfellow Fire Department, along with other base first responders, will conduct an emergency response training exercise at Goodfellow Air Force Base on Thursday, August 15.

According to the Goodfellow Air Force Base, residents in the surrounding area may hear sirens and announcements from the base’s "giant voice" loudspeaker system, which is used to communicate safety conditions. Officials emphasize that there is no cause for alarm.

Those traveling to or from the base should anticipate delays at the gates during the exercise, information stated.

For more information or if there are any concerns, individuals are encouraged to contact Goodfellow Public Affairs at [email protected].
