HOUSTON, TX - Chevron Corporation announced today that it will move its headquarters from San Ramon, California, to Houston, Texas, by the end of 2024.
Chevron Chairman and CEO, Mike Wirth, and Vice Chairman, Mark Nelson, will move to Houston before the end of 2024 to co-locate with other senior leaders and "enable better collaboration and engagement with executives, employees, and business partners."
The company emphasized that the immediate impact on employees in San Ramon will be minimal. Over the next five years, Chevron plans to migrate all corporate functions to Houston. Positions supporting Chevron’s California operations will remain in San Ramon.
Currently, Chevron employs around 7,000 people in Houston and 2,000 in San Ramon. The company operates crude oil fields, technical facilities, and two refineries in California, supplying more than 1,800 retail stations.

In places like California the liberals elect politicians who decide they alone know what's best for the people. After a few years those politicians totally ruin the state they rule over. The liberals who can no longer live in the cesspool they helped create look for a better place to live. That place is a city or state where conservatives and their elected officials have worked hard for years to provide a decent place to live, work and raise families. After enough liberals slither in they become the majority. The liberals for whatever reason you choose can't seem to learn from their mistakes so the cycle will repeat. For this reason I hate seeing huge corporations make Texas their home.

PermalinkIts Cali's Silicon Valley donor class making the rules that their puppet politicians enact with prionic effect upon that population. Their hoi polloi liberals then flee the state like driftwood Atlanteans — only to set up their new host for an infection of full onset Wokeism.
Finally, part of the donor class itself relocates, like a Brain Bug from Starship Troopers, to take over the area and destroy civilization in that particular region. Rinse and repeat until humanity itself is obliterated.
