Downtown San Angelo Inc. Announces Newest Sheep Statue

SAN ANGELO, TX — Downtown San Angelo, Inc., announced in a press release on Thursday morning that San Angelo will soon have another sheep statue.

The newest sheep unveiling will be on Saturday, July 27, at 3 p.m. The most recent statue will make its home at Sunset Mall, located at 4001 Sunset Drive.

"Downtown San Angelo, Inc. is thrilled to announce the next Sheep Reveal," Downtown San Angelo stated. "Sunset Mall will hold a sheep dedication & grand unveiling in the Sunset Mall food court in the center of the mall. The staff has chosen artist Ashley Perales to depict a lovely sunset and pay homage to our beautiful city of San Angelo!"

The word is that the sheep's name will be "Sunny."

Sunny is one of the 16 sheep patiently awaiting its unveiling to the public. Downtown San Angelo said that they are "pleased to celebrate the newest Ewe of the flock."

This is a free event, and the public is encouraged to attend on Saturday at the Sunset Mall.
