Is Michelle Obama Coming to Save the Democrats?

WASHINGTON, DC — Former Clinton political operative and aide Dick Morris predicted this afternoon that the Democratic presidential nominee is not settled with the presumed coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris. Instead, he sees clues that there will be a fight between two titans of the Democratic Party: the Clintons vs. the Obamas.

Morris points out that the Clintons have endorsed Kamala Harris. However, the Obamas have not.

Barack Obama stated, “I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges. I believe that Joe Biden’s vision of a generous, prosperous, and united America that provides opportunities for everyone will be on full display at the Democratic convention in August.”

"That means, wait up, Michelle is coming!" Morris said.

Senator Ted Cruz also predicted that Michelle Obama will eventually be the Democratic nominee. Following the June 27 debate, where President Joe Biden was criticized for his apparent dementia, Cruz emphatically stated on his podcast, The Verdict with Ted Cruz, that the Democrats will find a way to place Michelle Obama on the ticket.

On February 10, 2024, Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod said on CNN that Michelle Obama does not care for politics.

“She is not someone who likes politics. She doesn’t like the tone and tenor of politics. And I would be floored if she would consent to that. They feel that they gave 10 years of their life to this. And I’m sure she feels as Barbara Bush did when she said there has to be someone other than the Bushes and the Clintons who could be president of the United States. My guess is that’s her attitude. I always say, Michael, that I have as much chance of dancing in the Bolshoi Ballet next year than she does of being president of the United States. And so, if you see me running around at the end of the year in a leotard, you’ll know what I mean,” he said.
