SAN ANGELO, TX — PETA representatives will gather Tuesday at the City Hall Annex in San Angelo to unveil a sheep statue called “E(n)d Shearin” after singer Ed Sheeran.
The statue, featuring artwork by New Yorker cartoonist Harry Bliss, shows sheep holding signs with messages like “I’m Not Your Socks!” and “Where Is Your Empathy?”
PETA’s legal team secured the placement of “E(n)d Shearin” despite the Public Art Commission’s recommendation to reject it due to its anti-wool viewpoint, which the group argued was a violation of First Amendment rights.
“This statue is finally bringing a sheep’s perspective to San Angelo, where it will join more than 100 sheep statues and encourage people to have empathy for these gentle, sensitive animals with complex emotional lives,” said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA urges everyone to shun wool and opt for vegan clothing that no animals were cut to ribbons for.”
The unveiling will take place on Tuesday at 12 p.m. at the City Hall Annex, 301 W. Beauregard Ave.
San Angelo, once known as the “Wool Capital of the World,” has already displayed 110 sheep statues, none of which tell the sheep’s side of the story. PETA has released 14 exposés of 117 wool operations worldwide, where workers have been documented kicking, punching, and slitting the throats of conscious, crying sheep.

Don't worry PETA. Since the current state of science is that it serves political interests, the climate change we're experiencing due to the current interglacial cycle coming to a close will be deliberately and maliciously misdiagnosed as being man-made or explained away entirely.
The current type of anthropogenic animals responsible for sheep sheering will be blindsided like Mayans at a surprise baptism party and reintegrate back into the food chain. The sheep will go back to being mauled by coyotes and the like.
Abide, dudes. Abide.

PermalinkNo but there is a poll on how long b4 they have more sheep, how much taxpayers will be relieved of for them and which street corner to put them on....on top of that you have concrete cowboy statues waving at ppl at every intersection on downtown chadbourne. Wonder how much we paid for those...yet we can't get a paved road to save our lives. Thanks Mrs Gunter for being completely USELESS!!
