Don't Forgive the Liberal Media for Lying About Biden

If you watched last night's presidential debate or have seen some of the "highlights," then you know what a disaster it was for President Joe Biden.

He mumbled incoherently much of the time, stated outright lies and generally seemed lost and confused.

In other words, it was just another day at the office for Biden.

None of this is new. Biden's mental decline was evident during the last campaign, but our liberal media never seemed to notice, and they instead helped protect him every step of the way.

Now a man that struggles to finish a sentence is the leader of our country and the commander-in-chief of our armed forces.

This isn't a trivial matter, and the media that covered up for Biden should be held accountable. They don't deserve the public's trust.

As a longtime journalist at the Standard-Times here in San Angelo, I watched it transition from a hometown newspaper to a cog in a corporate machine that is no longer interested in serving its community.

In the last presidential election, 71% of Tom Green County residents voted for Donald Trump. That wasn't reflected by the content in the Standard-Times, which was filled day after day with pro-Democrat and anti-Republican stories.

Gannett, the behemoth that owns the Standard-Times and 200 other media outlets, has two people left working in San Angelo at the zombie organization that was once a newspaper.

Corporate media doesn't care about towns like San Angelo, and they don't care about trying to tell both sides of the story. 

The mothership paper of the Standard-Times' company, USA Today, endorsed Biden for the presidency, and content that was overwhelmingly liberal flowed down to all of the other newspapers, including the Standard-Times.

Somehow, they never had a bad word to say about Biden. As far as they're concerned, he's been hitting it out of the park the last three years. Yet they always had something bad to say about Trump or another Republican.

I didn't see this at first. I spent most of my career in sports, and I had only surface-level knowledge of politics.

However, when I moved over to the news side in 2019, I soon realized our company was filled with people whose loyalty lied more with being a liberal than a journalist. That mindset was ever-present in editors' meetings, where no one ever dared offer a conservative thought.

When I took over the Standard-Times editorial page in 2021, I was provided with numerous columns to choose from on USA Today's website. The only problem? Virtually every single one of them was a liberal column. There was no other viewpoint.

Keep in mind, this is the same company — falling in line with other media like CNN, MSNBC, etc. — that pushed the COVID insanity on us while filling their pockets with advertising money from drug companies.

They're the same people that told us our police are racist and should be defunded.

They're the ones who promoted Biden and everything that came with it, from our struggling economy to our crisis at the border.

They've given us countless reasons not to trust them anymore. 

Last night, it was laid out for everyone to see once and for all how unfit Biden is to be the president. Anyone in the media pretending to suddenly realize this is just telling another lie.
